Called by People Magazine one of "Oprah's Chosen One's", actor, singer, comedian, host Ryan O'Connor has been proving time and time again he is a man of all medias! From his awe-inspiring 4th place finish on Your OWN Show: Oprah's Search for the Next TV Star, winning praise from Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Phil, Carson Kressley, Nancy O'Dell, Vera Wang, Curtis Stone and Suze Orman, to wowing audiences across America with his HIT one-man musical entitled RYAN O'CONNOR EATS HIS FEELINGS, Ryan was also the host of the cult favorite YouTube chat show "The Ryan O'Connor Show" from 2008 to 2010. Famous for blending all things pop culture, Ryan has quickly become a go to source for witty insights about TV, film and theatre. Ryan keeps things refreshingly honest by boldly telling the entertainment business and everyone around him the truth, against all odds.
A graduate of Circle In the Square Theatre School in New York, Ryan's TV and film credits include "School of Rock", "How I Met Your Mother", "What About Brian", the voice of a gay Military recruiter on "American Dad" and an awkward, slightly embarrassing, recurring stint on the ill-fated "The Caroline Rhea Show" and the upcoming feature film Joey Stefano where Ryan will play the iconic Chi Chi Larue.
Dreams of hosting his own talk show, starring in a sitcom, starring on Broadway and portraying silent film star Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle on film motivate most of Ryan's days. One thing he knows, "I'll have an awesome autobiography one day, I'm just working on getting people to care about reading it!"
Spotlighted on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and called "A real heavyweight" by Time Out New York, O'Connor is constantly touring his one man show, RYAN O'CONNOR EATS HIS FEELINGS, candidly sharing stories from his life, loves, and lusts as a compulsive overeater The show features songs by William Finn, Ani DiFranco, Katie Thompson, Scott Alan and Randy Blair. Musical direction is by Gregory Nabours.
This May, Ryan will bring EATS HIS FEELINGS to the Laurie Beechman Theatre Off-Broadway every Monday in May, featuring a LIVE talk show and a slew of Tony nominated stars of Broadway.
